1. The free period for export
cargo shall be 24 Hours for examination/processing by the shippers.
2. Terminal charges applicable
to Newspaper and TV reel consignments shall be 50% of the prescribed charges.
3. Consignment of human remains,
coffin including baggage of deceased & Human eyes will be exempted from the
purview of Terminal and Warehousing Charges.
4. Terminal charges are inclusive
of Forklift charges wherever Forklift usage is involved. No separate
Forklift charges will be levied.
5. Special Cargo consists
of live animals, hazardous goods, valuable cargo and cargo stored in cold storage.
6. Charges will be levied
on the “gross weight” or the “chargeable weight” of the consignment whichever is
higher. Wherever the “gross weight and /or volume weight is wrongly
indicated on the Airway Bill and is actually found more, charges will be levied
on the ‘actual gross weight’ or ‘actual volumetric weight’ whichever is higher.
7. For mis-declaration of
weight above 2% and upto 5% of declared weight penal charges
@ double the applicable Terminal charges will be levied. For
variation above 5% the penal charges will be levied @ 5 times the applicable Terminal
charges of the differential weight.
No penal charges will be levied for variation upto and inclusive of 2%.
This will not apply to valuable cargo.
8. All the bills shall be
rounded off to the nearest of Rs.5/-, as per IATA Tact Rules book clause 5.7.2,
the rounding off procedure, when the rounding off unit is 5.

9. Packing/repacking charges
: Packing/repacking charges shall be levied @ 2% of packages per shipping bill with
a minimum of Rs.20/- per airway bill. Packing/repacking
charges will be Rs. 10/- per packet.
10. Service Tax and any other statutory
taxes shall be levied extra as per government notifications.
11. Due to persistent increase
in cases of dishonouring of cheques received from the CHAs / Consignees resulting
into delivery / shipping of cargo without collection of dues besides delaying availability
of legitimate dues to MIAL, it has been decided to levy penal charge of 10%
of payable dues or Rs. 1,000/- whichever is higher, on each case of dishonouring
